Are You A Furry? (2022-2023)
The chimera fluff, 110 X 100 cm Oil-paint on linnen canvas(2021)
The question of whether one identifies as a furry initially stemmed from my interest in childhood objects and the attachment we develop towards them as we grow older. I was curious about how our emotions can transform ordinary objects into precious possessions. As adults, we tend to view objects in a more sexualized or fetishized manner, but by juxtaposing these perspectives, I found it to be both amusing and intimate. This exploration ultimately led to a deeper understanding of the genuine, personal connections we form with certain objects.
